All You Need is Pug is Etsy’s Featured Shop!

2015 has been an extraordinary year, and what better way to top it off than to see All You Need is Pug as Etsy’s current Featured Shop? It is every Etsy seller’s ambition to see their work showcased on the Etsy blog, and I can’t put into words how honored and excited I was when the Etsy team contacted me in October asking me to be a featured seller. I was doing the dishes in my kitchen when my phone “binged” to indicate that an email had come in. Normally I don’t stop to check my messages while doing chores, but something in my gut told me that I had to see this email. When my screen lit up with the news that All You Need is Pug would be part of an Etsy editorial I broke into a happy dance, cried a few happy tears, laughed, and called out to tell my fiancé to come to the kitchen to hear the news. It was hard to keep the editorial a secret, being as ecstatic as I was, but I managed to keep it under wraps until the feature went live yesterday morning.

Jeremy and I spent hours taking photos for the feature, and I spent days trying to perfect every last word in the short article before sending it off to Etsy’s staff (who are all quite wonderful, supportive, and kind, by the way). And now here it is, the editorial that I have waited years to be featured in is finally in print for the world to see. Yes, this is indeed a lovely way to end 2015. This has been a successful year for All You Need is Pug, and I feel that it all began when I quit my day job back in May. I was so nervous to take the leap, and I would never have done it if my fiancé hadn’t encouraged and supported me. It also helped that I have exceptional customers and followers who make my job worthwhile and so much fun to do. I look forward to waking up each day to see what adventures wait for me as I work on custom orders and brainstorm new ideas. I am overwhelmed by the kind words and wishes that I have received from customers and fellow artists just in the past 24 hours since the editorial has gone live. People can be so extraordinary and surprising, and I can’t thank you enough for making me smile and pushing me to be a better person, artist, and small businesswoman. 2015 is ending on a high note, and I hope that 2016 will prove to be even better. Here’s to you, here’s to 2016, and here’s to the future of All You Need is Pug!

New All You Need is Pug Mugs are Here!

If you are anything like me & The All You Need is Pug boys, you probably enjoy lazy Sundays! These lazy days involve a lot of Netflix, couch-surfing, and tea-drinking. My pantry cabinets are full of tea bags, loose teas, coffee pods, and vegan hot cocoas. I am simply in love with the cozy feeling that a warm beverage fills you with on a chilly autumn day. There’s nothing like it! This is perhaps the reason why I am also a collector of coffee mugs and have an entire cabinet stacked with mugs that feature everything from rock band logos to whimsical woodland creatures. I guess it was only a matter of time before I started designing mugs myself!

A few weeks ago I introduced All You Need is Pug’s first pug mugs, and today I am proud to add a new item to our line! Our newest pug mugs features our Floral Pug illustration, which is also available on totes and greeting cards.

I have already made use of my personal All You Need is Pug mug today by filling it up with warm green tea and a bit of local raw honey. (I can sense that your mouth is probably watering about now!) I can’t wait to pack up some of these new mugs and ship them to our happy customers & fellow warm beverage enthusiasts!

Create Your Own Greeting Card Gallery

As a greeting card designer, I not only love creating cards, I love receiving them, too! Over years of celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, seasonal holidays, and special events, it is amazing how many cards a single person can collect! I store a great deal of the cards that I receive in photo boxes, because I am a hopeless nostalgic who loves to go back and peek at the cards that my loved ones have shared with me. When I receive a particularly breathtaking card, it feels like a shame to shove it in a box and hide it away, which is why I’ve opted to display cards as artwork in my home. Whether you want to invest in some simple frames and mattes at your local craft store or tack up a bit of twine and make use of those old clothespins, displaying cards in your home is simple and can create an atmosphere that feels pretty and personal. Take a peek at these photos from displays in our office to get a bit of inspiration for creating your own greeting card gallery wall!

A Pug Among the Wildflowers

Our newest pug art design is here! After quitting my day job in May to take All You Need is Pug on full-time, I promised myself that I would push myself as an artist to move out of my comfort zone and create items that are fresh and surprising. When I illustrate items for our product line, I often do so digitally, but this time around I decided to break out my markers, watercolor pencils, and blendables to do something that I haven’t done in ages: draw a piece fully by hand without help from my laptop! The finished product is a sweet pug peeking out from wildflowers, and I had so much fun creating this piece that you can be sure to find more watercolor pieces in our product line soon!

The Floral Pug design is now featured on our newest Thank You cards and tote bags, and we can’t wait to ship them around the world to our wonderful customers!
